Branch Functions

Our Branches are the grassroots of the Labour Party movement here in North Northumberland – where local people meet, converse, support each other, and work together for the benefit of democracy and the wider community. It would be lovely to see you at one of our branch meetings or events. Visit our branch pages to see their latest news, activities, events and more…

Monthly Branch Meetings

Our branches generally meet once per month, usually in-person, or occasionally using online formats. A varied agenda is set each month – updates from local representatives, campaign planning, topical discussion, volunteering opportunities, and more are often on the cards.

Catch up with Local Members
Discuss topical local & national issues, listen to talks on local history & heritage, politics & more…
Plan our campaigns, listen to speakers, and more…
Select & interview candidates for local elections.
Events & Fundraising

Our branches often hold local fundraising evenings, to raise funds for our campaigns and activities, and to engage with our community.

Whether it’s a pie and pea supper, a guest speaker, bake sales, or quiz nights – there’s always something in the calendar to look forward to with us. Why not get involved and run your own event with us? Find our events at each branch via the buttons below.

Campaigning & Volunteering

There’s nothing more rewarding than getting involved at the local heart of politics. Our branch teams are often out and about speaking with local residents, attending local functions, or giving back to the local community.

Organising together to campaign for local issues – such as saving our Ticket Offices!
Speaking to voters on the doorstep and identifying local challenges and opportunities.
Volunteering opportunities across the local area.
Digital Campaigning and Phonebanking
Your support keeps us going.

Get Involved

As always, we love to meet new members and welcome you to the North Northumberland Labour Party. Our branches are a broad church for Labour supporters to meet, share ideas, discuss local issues, and give back to the local community. Join us to get involved.

Once your membership is approved, you will be provided the details of your nearest branch, which you will be affiliated to, based on your registered address. You’ll also then start receiving communications from the CLP, and your local branch party about events, campaigns and more.
