She runs a small research company performing political analysis in the Horn of Africa, and has lived and worked in Ethiopia since the late 1980s, still spending around half of her time there. Transparency & Governance
Minutes are taken at every meeting, and can be provided to CLP Members upon request. We always aim to provide updates about our work and the outcomes of any decisions made, at the general monthly CLP Meeting for all members. Our Annual CLP Development Plan
We produce an annual development plan for the CLP, in conjunction with all members. Find out more about the process below. Please note exact dates/timings are subject to change.
New Year Executive Meeting
Our Executive Committee meets early in the New Year (usually January) to reflect on our work from the previous year, and identify key areas for improvement and development. Initial targets are set, and work begins on achieving these.
Member Engagement
The CLP works with members, branches and elected representatives to identify the support they need, alongside any ideas they have to improve the local party.
Development Plan Finalised & Published
By the end of the first quarter, a meeting of the CLP Executive Committee confirms our development plan for the year. This is then published to members and branches, who can offer support.
Working Together on our Goals
The CLP Executive, Branches and members work collectively towards goals outlined in our development plan, with a target to achieve these by the start of the national Labour Party conference. Regular meetings and check-ins are held to monitor progress.
Reporting on our Work
At the CLP’s annual general meeting, the CLP development plan is reviewed and our progress published and scrutinised by members. Learning points and areas for development are taken forward, to be incorporated into the next year’s plan. This is also a celebration of our achievements throughout the year.
CLP Development Plan 2025
The CLP Executive Committee are working on the CLP Development plan for 2025. This will be distributed to branches and members once finalised.
Suggestions, ideas, priorities, or other feedback are more than welcome from members, in order to feed-in to our annual development plan. Please feel free to email us with any ideas.
